SUMMARY
I
am a software engineer who loves to be challenged with learning new
technologies and solving programming problems. My strengths include: C#, C/C++,
SQL, ASP.Net and UML. I have ample
professional experience working with all of this technology, and I’m interested
in joining an organization that will
leverage my strengths and provide new challenges.

PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE
McCarthy & Holthus LLC
Nov
2004 –
IT Consultant
Responsibilities
included software design, application development in .Net(C#, VB .Net, ASP.net
ADO.Net), technical integration, product customization and automating business processes for this firm which
handles loan servicing like foreclosure, mortgages, bankruptcy, etc for clients like CitiFinancial,
BankOne, etc
Default Life Cycle Foreclosure System – Providing programming support for an enterprise application that handles the whole lifecycle of
the foreclosure process. The application has been developed in VB.Net with ASP.Net technology with a SQL Server database.
Eviction Tracking Tool – Built a tracking tool consisting of a web report, email notification system and a web services
component all in ASP.Net with SQL Server 200 backend to help the firm’s attorneys and client attorneys to track the
eviction process rite from the start.
New Orders & Closing Bids Notification System – Developed two windows service applications in C# using .Net Framework
which alerts clients about bids not being placed as deadline nears and one for
internal office staff to notify them of new orders coming in every hour.
SMS.ac May 04 – Oct 04
Software Engineer
Responsibilities
included software design, application development in .Net(C#, OOD, back-end
side programming, ADO.Net), generating stats reports from SQL Server DB and
coordinating email-marketing campaigns.
Mobile Chat - Enhanced
functionality of a Mobile Chat Service App for chatting through mobile phones
in C# .Net (with heavy database dependence-SQL Server to list a few, check
incoming message is from valid user, they are above age-limit, the recipient is
also a valid user, logging to billing and stats tables, etc are some of the
database calls needed) to support it in multiple countries, allow users to
block others, create a buddy list and enable users to remove themselves from
the service besides a lot of other optimizations to tailor the app to comply
with telecom regulations in different countries.
SMS Trivia – Developed
a Trivia game for mobile phones using Short Messaging Service (SMS) in C# .Net.
Users get a daily question to which they need to text the answer back which is
verified with and a new question is retrieved both done querying SQL Sever
tables containing question-answer pairs
and user-info like points scored and questions attempted and the response
message is sent back to the user. Wrote the stored procedures needed on this
one.
SMS Psychic – Developed
an app which predicts answers to users’ questions in C# .Net with SQL Server
tables containing tables matching keywords to stock answers and log of daily
questions asked by users. Users text(sms) to a phone number the question they
need answers too and we do a decision tree parsing through the question and
arrive at an answer(selected from pre-stored replies) which best matches the question asked.
Premium Messaging Stats Monitor – Developed a stats generating tool to monitor
delivery success rate of premium(billable) messages. The messaging database is
queried on 3-hour intervals and successful delivery rates for each time period
is matched with the previous 3-hr period and if the rate falls below 30% the
application would page a technician. This required a windows service
application in C# and an ASP.Net web interface
to show messaging rates by route, country and carriers(eg-T-Mobile).
Neologix Systems
May 01- June 02
Programmer Analyst – Intern
Responsibilities include
software development, QA and system architecting with clients in USA &
Japan.
Internet Calendaring and Scheduling - This project was implemented in Java with a
client-server design. The calendar and scheduling information is stored in the
database implemented in Oracle SQL. The server side programming was done using
JDBC and Servlets.
Hotel Management
System - This
project was implemented in C++, and it included all the various hotel
management operations. The database was in MySQL and the user-interface was
also done completely in C++. The platform used was Linux.
E-Commerce
Sites - Developed e-commerce
sites in Java Servlets, JSP & JDBC and Perl with MySql.
Projects at Center for Software
Engineering, USC Aug
2003 – May 2004
Project Manager-Online Help & Tutorials Project for USC
Laboratory of Applied Pharmacokinetics
I
served as project manager of my team that developed a web-based software
product that provides online help by integrating software tools using software
engineering processes. My role included doing a business case analysis to prove
the feasibility of the project, chart out project life cycle, architecting the
system with UML modelling and preparing test plans.
Code-Counter Tool – Performed software testing using software engineering
techniques on a Java, C++, SQL & Perl Code Counter and enhanced
functionality of code counter to support more keywords & programming
constructs besides writing several test cases for this project at the Center
for Software Engineering, USC.
Webmaster,
Alumni Website - www.cntvalumni.net, School of
Cinema-Television, USC Feb03 - Apr04
Served
as webmaster of www.cntvalumni.net (website of USC Cinema School alumni),
provided technical support to office staff (MAc OS X systems), and maintained the internal database used by
office staff for fundraising and alumni outreach programs.
